The Trek X-Caliber is a great example of a cross-country bike. It is also one that offers top of the line components across fork, frame, brakes and shifters for this class of a 29er. The bike is very fast, made for cross country trails – i.e. certainly not for jumping over big boulders and jumping from heights – the front fork while including remote lockout, very good RockShox Reba with Solo Air and custom G2 geometry but still it offers only 100mm travel – hence good for some but not crazy height jumps.
